Flowers of Fortitude is an outdoor based floral sculpture representing the growing successes that have contributed to survival rates. Improving since the 1980’s, with advanced technological support alongside the expertise of medical professionals, the trajectory of survival rates is promising.This work and its shape stands in as the body of knowledge that is just past its budding stage and about to embark on the next stage of growth. The blooms differ in size and colour, speaking to the individual journey as it stands among the collective while helping to hold it together. No bloom is lost among the cascade of flowers, each is hand painted with a beautiful blend of pink hues. A reminder that each and every contribution matters. This encourages those to interact with the work by walking around and discovering what is similar and what is different while being delighted and surprised by each unique one.
